  • Offer followers a behind-the-scenes view of your business- if you have a high-profile business or products, it could help your image if you offered the public a peek behind the scenes.  You can show them how your products are made, provide a good discussion on your history and other ways to show people the things you do in your business to produce the products you do.
  • Publicize your company’s website- you can use Twitter and other social networks to promote your website.   You can tweet or post a link to your website and articles and drive traffic from your Twitter or Facebook to your website.  You can also use your blog to discuss your products and then link to your company website so that people can get more information.
  • Interact with the public- because of the very nature of social media they are very effective tools for communicating with the public.  Interact with people to allow them to see your brand as human and to help build trust and loyalty among the public.
  • Use social media for internal communication- you can use social media such as Twitter for your business’ internal communication.  Social media can help in facilitating collaboration and in helping build good relationships between employees and even between the employer and employees. They can also be used to communicate with workers who are off-site such as virtual assistants.
  • Use them to reward customer loyalty- offer promos and programs for your loyal followers. Offering promos and discounts can also help you build a stronger community online.
