The trade volume between Pakistan and Malaysia is likely to touch new peak as a number of Malaysian companies and businessmen have shown readiness to initiate joint venture with their Pakistani counterparts.
The consensus was developed at the LCCI delegation’s meetings at various Malaysian chambers and trade bodies. The LCCI delegation had a meeting at Malay Chamber of Commerce and Industry where the President of Malay Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mr. Dewn Perniagaan Melayu gave a detailed briefing to the LCCI delegation headed by former LCCI Senior Vice President Sohail Lashari.
The delegation also visited MATRADE Exhibition and Convention Center. During the visit the delegates had B to B meetings with the counterparts for Malaysia arranged by MATRADE and Pakistan Commercial Counsellor. During the one to one meetings business opportunities were discussed, particularly in textile made ups, auto parts, rice, agricultural implements, recreational activities and steel sector. I
t is worthwhile to mention that these B to B meetings remained very fruitful and it is hoped that the exports opportunities would be availed by some of the delegates.
During the meetings, Mr. Sohail Lashari informed these chambers and trade associations about the delegation purpose, business and investment opportunities in Pakistan, the present scenario about extremism in Pakistan, the current law and order situations in Pakistan. He also threw light on the role of LCCI.
