Twitter marketing has become massive business

When Twitter first launched, few people thought that the marketing potential of this site would grow to what it is today. The simple fact is that Twitter marketing now means money and small and large business alike is seeing this and beginning to invest huge money.

One company who’s laughing all the way to the bank when it comes to cashing in on the Twitter boom is web promotions organisation uSocial.net who sell a large suite of Twitter marketing services including allowing their clients to buy Twitter followers. And now the company claims they’ve just taken their largest client on board – despite the fact that they’re currently remaining unnamed.

“We just signed a contract with a large Fortune 500 company who have invested around $22,000 with us to conduct a continuing Twitter marketing campaign.” Said uSocial’s CEO Leon Hill. “The package includes some custom-designed tactics for them, as well as some services of ours which are publicly available like our Twitter follower packages.”

According to uSocial the contract will have the campaign being carried out over a period of around twelve months and will drive what they estimate to be in excess of 100,000 visitors to their client’s website.

But why the secrecy surrounding the naming of the client themselves?

“Our client has requested anonymity, however I can tell you they’re an organisation in the health sector.” Said Hill. “I wish I could say more, though I have to respect the wishes of my paying customers.”

Despite this, dealing with big names is something that uSocial are used to. Less than a week after the company launched in December of 2008, they received a Cease & Desist notice from the lawyers of Digg.com due to their practice of selling votes on the social bookmarking site.

While this may have struck fear into the hearts of many, Hill stood firm and after a few exchanged emails between himself and Digg, nothing more was heard from the social bookmarking giant.
