A chauffeur stole valuable art works, including an Andy Warhol cardboard box, from his New York employer, authorities allege.
James Biear, 49, of Ossining, N.Y., was charged with wire and mail fraud for stealing the Warhol piece, a "Heinz 57" box, from the New York home of his employer and selling it to a Pennsylvania art dealer for $220,000, the New York Post reported Tuesday.
Police allege additional pieces of art, including a $65,000 Francis Picabia ink drawing titled "Jean Cocteau," and other valuables from the home of Biear's employer were found in the chauffeur's home.
