David Lee scored 28 points Monday for the New York Knicks, who used a couple of late runs to beat New Orleans 117-111.

Lee made 13-of-17 shots, Al Harrington added 24 points and Larry Hughes had 20 in the Knicks' first win of the season.

New York had spurts of 15-6 and 12-2 in the fourth quarter.

Chris Paul topped the Hornets' scoring with 32 points. Emeka Okafor added 24 and David West had 21.
