Grand World Infant Pacifiers Recalled

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a voluntary recall of Grand World infant pacifiers due to a choking hazard.

About 641,000 "Bobby Chupete" Pacifiers were imported from China by Grand World Inc. of Maspeth, N.Y., and sold nationwide from November 2004 through July 2009 for about $1 each.

The pacifiers mouth guard is too small, creating the potential for an infant to swallow the pacifier.

The pacifiers have ring-shaped handles and heart-shaped plastic mouth guards with two ventilation holes. They were sold in a variety of colors. The nipple is made of latex, the commission said.

Consumers were advised to take the pacifiers away from children and contact Grand World for a refund or a replacement.

Consumers can call 718-326-7786 for information.
