Terrence Wall of Madison Wisconsin just filed his papers to run for the US Senate. Entrepreneur, Developer and Builder T Wall got the feedback he was looking for from members of “Freedom Matters” at their weekly Luncheon here in good old Cross Plains Wisconsin.
I knew T Wall was bright, fun and a committed family man with two children. I was pleasantly surprised to see the honest politician in him. I know honest and politician should never be used in the same sentence but you really need to analyze him yourself. I was proud I invited T Wall to the meeting.
The initial superficial but necessary feedback all new ‘Celebrities’ get flooded with took its course. I have witnessed it hundreds of times. Feedback like, “You look 20 years younger than your reported 45.” “You have a lot of money and privilege that the average person might envy, be jealous of or resent.“ “You are getting beat up in the press about using legal tax filings.” “You have not been serving in politics long.”
Short social relief - “Band of Brothers” was a great movie. Tom Hanks played T Wall’s relative Herb Sewerth the movie was based on. The first horse T Walls daughter sat on was my Friesian Star – Beauty. The grilled fish special please.
Again, the Celebrity orientation for T Wall continued. What about the pumpkin patch that allowed T Wall’s company to escape $34,000 in tax liability. T Wall rented his reclassified farmland to a farmer. “The farmer planted the pumpkins to raise money for a Middleton Youth Group,“ T Wall clarified. Most politicians are producing lemons and wasting our tax dollars everyday on their job. Maybe a Business Expert growing real pumpkins would be refreshing. If T Wall and his accountants know all the tax loopholes maybe they could close them so the average businessperson doesn’t have to appear so dishonest in legally conducting their business. T Wall will continue to get punched by the usual political party bashing (Democrats in this case). T Wall will need to endure all the games and manipulations if he is to transition from Celebrity Developer and Candidate to Celebrity Senator.
“We need someone with Business Experience to stop the whole economy from falling apart. The Economy and our Country is deteriorating. Someone has to do something about it. I can help fix it!” My companies are suffering as well!” That serious answer to, “Why are you running?” warmed the group to T Wall.
Our Country surely is in a bunch of hurt. We are not prepared as individual citizens to take on the Global Economy. We struggle each day carrying Big Government on our backs, ass and pocketbook. We like it when people are locked up for nothing. Until that person is you or a family member. Rip a person from their business and keep them in holding cells for four days without visitation. Did they or their Alma Mater misplace $200? Oh well who cares right.
“Save the Economy,” “Americans First” and “One Big Party” evolved as the meeting’s brand for T Wall. Obama was forced by his wife to go with “Change”.
We don’t mind spending tax dollars on outdated health systems, corrections systems and the plethora of old school Finance and Government rule, overregulation and anti business enforcers. We do not want real jobs like making alternative energy right now. Loaning our struggling small businesses monies at reasonable rates right now? Getting Banks and Credit Unions to stop fighting with their customers and start serving or fighting for them? Finance Institutions that stop fee fishing, fine piling, credit wrangling money shrinking and stupid foreclosures?
We don’t want all this do we? Well, I think T Wall wants this for all of us. What chance does he have anyway? Feingold is basking in the Obama Democratic Sun. Feingold is one of the few Senators who really fights to guard our right to Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. I like Feingold. I like T Wall. We are lucky to have a choice for Change. Do you want to watch our Government continually change or see your own personal lifestyle change? Business expert or Political expert. In any event I hope they both can support the simple concept below.
