No, not a bonus for all their hard work, but in fact the amount donated to the two patronage schemes run by the Association of British Philatelic Societies.

Instead of the flat fee, Stanley Gibbons decided to donate £1 for each employee, to support the ABPS and their Stamp Active Initiative to encourage young philatelists and promote philately to a wider audience.

‘Supporting the ABPS is something everyone involved with philately should seriously consider. The Patronage scheme provides vital funds to enable the ABPS to carry out its work. It is essential that we all participate’ said GSM and Stanley Gibbons Catalogue Editor, Hugh Jefferies.

‘By donating £1 for each Stanley Gibbons employee, every member of staff can feel like they have a stake in the future of philately’ said Marketing Manager, Alex Hanrahan.

To support the ABPS visit www.ukphilately.org.uk/ABPS/join/patron.htm or email: abpssec@ukphilately.org.uk
