Wang Meng of China won the Olympic gold medal Friday in the women's 1,000-meter short-track speed-skating race.

Katherine Reutter of the United States took the silver. The bronze went to Seung-Hi Park of South Korea.

Zhou Yang of China, who won the 1,500-meter race when Wang was disqualified, was herself disqualified in this event.
